
El Greco
El Greco was a Greek painter who was born on the Greek island of Crete, and although he was Greek, he was mainly active in Spain. Born in Crete, Greece, he first learned Byzantine painting. At the age of 20, he went to Italy to learn rich colors from Venetian painters Titian and Tintoretto, and from Correzzo, he was influenced by emotional works by deep light and shade.
