Wilhelm Kuhnert
Wilhelm Koonert was a German painter, writer, and illustrator who specialized in animal images. After illustration in Alfred Brem's book, he traveled to East Africa to observe animals in their habitats and painted numerous paintings defining Africa for the Germans of the time.
