Jean Jules Linden
Jean-Jules Linden was a Belgian botanist, explorer, horticulturist and businessman. He studied at Aténée Royal in Luxembourg until 1834 and served as a science professor at the Free University of Brussels. He studied orchid farming using three types of greenhouses, from cool to warm, and succeeded in cultivating them. With this success, he has branches in Brussels, Ghent, and Paris, and won prizes at exhibitions in London, Paris and St. Petersburg, and published books on orchids and orchid cultivation
